The Vatican thunders against abortion, same-sex "marriage," priestesses, assisted suicide, illicit sex, consumerism, smutty sex education, defective theology, and more. But walk into many a parish. Where's the beef?

Wimpy clerics are keeping the full Catholic message from us. We're being robbed of our history, doctrine, moral resources, and intellectual heritage. No wonder many Catholics, who don't have a clue as to what Catholicism stands for, fall for anything our decadent culture entices them with! Especially our youth!

We have an international audience, and we're published in infamous Berkeley, so we've seen fads and frauds galore. Orthodox Catholics in Berkeley? Yes! Damn the torpedoes!

Amazingly, we're ecumenical in spirit - without downplaying the unique aspects of Catholicism. Many of the finest Catholic and non-Catholic thinkers have appeared in our pages: Cardinal Law, Bishop Bruskewitz, Kenneth D. Whitehead, Peter Kreeft, Cristopher Lasch, Walker Percy, John Lukas, James Hitchcock, Janet E. Smith, Allan C. Carlson.

If you're sick and tired of Catholicism-Lite, disgusted when clergymen, nuns, and theologians curry favor with liberal secularists and the forces of neopaganism, we're for you. If your a Catholic with guts, or a Catholic who's ready to have his spine stiffened, or if you're a sympathetic non-catholic, subscribe today! Oh - if you don't happen to like this ad (or our other ads), hey, you'll probably still love our magazine, for, as Fr. Richard John Neuhaus says, our magazine "is immeasurably better than" our ads.
