Crisis is a monthly magazine of
religion, culture, and politics. Written
from a Catholic perspective, it is a
general interest magazine focusing on
the relationship between faith and
culture. Feature articles cover issues
ranging from education, family, art,
music, theology, ethics, and public
policy. Book, music, and film
reviews keep readers abreast of the
latest developments in contemporary
arts. Monthly columnists address
pressing matters of politics,
international affairs, and domestic life
in order to demonstrate the central
place of religious belief in overcoming
the problems of contemporary
culture. Crisis boasts a history
of excellence. Crisis was founded
in 1982 at the University of Notre Dame
by Professor Ralph McInerny and
Templeton Award winner Michael Novak of
the American Enterprise Institute.
Brought to Washington, D.C. in 1988
under the leadership of Dinesh D'Souza
and edited by Deal W. Hudson since
1994, Crisis has established itself as
America's leading Catholic magazine for
over 15 years.
